Internship Program
NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE - E-MAIL ONLY!
You must be at least 18 years of age and have completed one full year of college to apply.
Those that are accepted will receive hands on training and valuable experience in the radio industry with an emphasis in promotions.
Interns do a variety of activities ranging from the daily office routine to assisting with promotional activities. You will be exposed not only to the “fun” side of radio, but also the hard work involved in putting together a successful broadcast.
Be warned! Interning for The Beat is a lot of work, and will consume lots of your time, but it will be fun!
You Will:
- Work weekly office hours
- Help process winner information
- Assist On-Air personalities and promotions during remote broadcasts
- And much, much more.
Our internship program lasts for 18 weeks, and you MUST be able to receive credit through a university program (there are no exceptions, no high school students please) while maintaining above a “C” average. As a Beat intern, you will be required to work somewhere around 4-8 hours in the office weekly. In addition, if you become an intern you must attend all remotes and events that you have been scheduled for. Generally, interns devote 15-20 hours a week toward their internship.
These positions offer tremendous networking opportunities to become involved with the area's top businesses and entertainment facilitators. We look forward to helping you learn and advance in promotions, while representing The Beat.
