The Bubble Head Project
What is a Bubble Head? What is a Bubble Head Road?

A secluded street in unincorporated north St. Louis county.
Urban legend states something to the effect that years ago, people settled near the end of the road. Through years of inbreeding, the descendants of the original settlers developed hydrocephaly, or "Water on the Brain," which caused their heads to be oversized, hence the term "bubblehead."
This is a relatively famous urban legend in NoCo St. Louis, with many residents convinced of some truth behind it. Indeed, when you drive to the end of the road there are several "No Tresspassing" signs. I mean, A LOT of signs. I've heard of many people getting chased off at night by unseen figures in the woods.

Personality Bio

KiKi The 1st Lady has been a staple in St. Louis radio for the past 8 years getting her start at KDHX 88.1 FM. Soon moving on to become the co-host of The MADD Flavor Show with Doc Love on Majic 108. KiKi was one of the original on-air personalities when The Beat signed on in 1999. She soon left the STL to work in Atlanta at Wild 96.7 as the Promotions Director and Mid-Day personality. Proving there was nothing that she couldn’t handle KiKi soon packed her bags and headed to Nashville. At WUBT 101.1 The Beat Jams she took on the lead position as Program Director and PM Drive personality.

She consistently wins during her time slot with the unique ability to connect with her listeners on a personal level. “I go into every break as if I were having a conversation with my best friend because the listeners are my friends.” As the Program Director KiKi took her Nashville station from number 16 to number 1 in one book. KiKi had tremendous success as the Program Director before returning to St. Louis in 2004 to Radio One’s WFUN 95.5. After the format change to Adult Contempery she came back to 100.3 The Beat as a weekend personality only to once again return as 100.3 The Beat’s Mid-Day’s Personality.

On The Fast Track to Bankruptcy????
Tuesday 06-10-2008 2:44pm CT

Lil Wayne is being sued by businessman LeMarck de Andre for defaulting on payments for his 1999 Bentley Arnage:

“My direct observation and experience with Dwayne M. Carter’s financial and personal irresponsibility over the years has taught and demonstrated to me that he has become the new symbol of financial illiteracy and slavery in the 21st century.

For a little over 5 years, I have been involved with…Dwayne M. Carter’s high-level of financial illiteracy, lack of liquidity, leveraged acquisition liability accumulation and below zero net-worth; as well as lack of business communication, character, and integrity- all learned behaviors- and the primary reasons for non-payment. Unless and until [he] transforms his personal, business, and financial attitude and adopts new behaviors, these unfortunate behavioral components will equate to future lawsuits, defaults, repossessions, foreclosures, and the making of a great candidate for bankruptcy.”

Missy Drops New CD
Tuesday 06-10-2008 2:38pm CT

Missy Elliot talks about her new album and the future of Hip-Hop in the upcoming edition of Billboard Magazine:

Billboard:What are your thoughts on the current state of Hip-Hop?

“Well, if anyone knows me, they’d know I try not to listen to the radio or watch TV. I’ve been doing that since my very first album. I think you can be easily influenced by other music, and before you know it you start doing records that sound like someone else just because you think it’s music that’s working. I hear a lot of great songs. And then I hear some that aren’t so original and creative. Back in the day artists had their own styles. You couldn’t say Heavy D sounded like Rakim, or Salt-N-Pepa sounded like MC Lyte, or Big Daddy Kane sounded like Erick Sermon. These days, people try to follow a formula because they see it’s worked for others. But that keeps them from being original and creative, (or) at least not as original and creative as it used to be before.”

Not that we disagree with ole girl, but we’re curious as to the originality of her new jawn, “Block Party” that’s set to drop in August. Time will tell…
